Mission
It is my mission to touch as many people as I can with the artwork I create though paintings and photography. It is an honor for me to photograph a newborn baby's first portraits or a high school senior's pictures before he or she enters into a new chapter of life. It feels amazing to me to know that a piece of art I painted or a photograph I took is going to be hanging in someone's home and when they look at it, it brings them happiness and love. It is important to me to put thought and care into the images and paintings I create because they mean so much to the family that gets to have them and cherish them for generations to come.

    Sarah Dowd
I am a native of Northwest Florida and have lived in the Southeast most of my life. I currently reside in a wonderful town called Daphne, Alabama. I have been taking pictures and painting for as long as I can remember. I got my first camera at the age of five. As a child, I remember looking at magazines and being fascinated by the different people, places and things I would see photographed in them. When I grew older, I knew the life I was carving out for myself would always include art and photography. I went to college at the University of North Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography with an emphasis on portraiture. From there, I worked at a portrait studio company for nine years that has studios all over the U.S. During those years, I traveled all over the country taking thousands of portraits of people of all different ages and walks of life. This experience taught me a lot of about myself, photography, business and life. I eventually decided to end that chapter of my life and move on to doing portraiture on my own. Creating art though the images I make is what I love to do. I like for each person I work with to feel comfortable and at ease. I want each session I take to be memorable and personal, allowing me to tell the story of the people within it. Some other things about me are: I love to travel, the beach, animals and reading.
